About Us

Welcome....This is the story of our family. As the parents of a 3-year old and an 12-year old we are on a non-stop journey through life that includes diapers, teething, soccer, and middle school. Believe it or not, the latter seems to be the most difficult.

Our First Trip to The Dentist

Well the time finally came....Jacob needed to go see the dentist for his first cleaning. It's hard to believe that Rebekah has been visiting our dentist since she was Jacob's age. I was a little worried because Jacob had been going through a stage where he doesn't want to open his mouth to brush his teeth or let anyone look at them. However, he made us proud. He sat in the dental chair on my lap without an issue, he let the hygienist brush, floss and rinse his teeth. He even let her suck the water out of his mouth with the sucky straw. But what amazed me most was that he let them take x-rays of his teeth! He was such a great little patient. When he was done he let the dentist poke at his teeth and waited very patiently for his new toothbrush and toothpaste. The dentist said that, with the exception of Rebekah, he had never had a two-year old sit so still for such a thorough cleaning. The one thing that did come up though was that apparently Jacob is missing a tooth, the x-rays show that the adult teeth are all there but one of the baby teeth never developed.
