About Us

Welcome....This is the story of our family. As the parents of a 3-year old and an 12-year old we are on a non-stop journey through life that includes diapers, teething, soccer, and middle school. Believe it or not, the latter seems to be the most difficult.

Jacob's Idea of Breakfast

This is Jacob's new idea of eating breakfast. Apparently breakfast is best out of a baggie while lying on the couch with a blanket. I think it's just a way of procrastinating in the morning.

He looks a little too comfortable for someone who has to get ready for school in about 15 minutes.

Where are We?

We are here, just extremely busy. Rebekah has been thrown into the preparations for her Bat Mitzvah and we are going along for the ride. Her latest project was to explain to the Rabbi and her Mitzvah class the story of her Torah portion. She was assigned the story of creation and this is her final project. Enjoy.

State Cup Soccer

We made our annual trek to the state cup soccer tournament this weekend. After tying our first game we spent the evening playing games and eating. I'm not sure what the game was called but I was out the first round.

After the adults gave up the girls continued on their own.

And even some video to share with you all!

Braces

So where have we been. Well we have been here just BUSY! Rebekah got braces and is just overjoyed. Can't you tell by that forced smile on her very tired face!

Not only did she have to have braces but she also had to have an expander in the roof of her mouth.
Then finally she had to have the lower jaw all wired up too!

She has had a great time and is looking forward to the next two years (catch the sarcasm?)

Hanukkah Night 7

We decided to spend Saturday at Disneyland with the family. This was Jacob's first trip so he was in awe! He absolutely loved the castle.

We began our 1 1/2 hour drive and too keep Jacob in good spirits he watched Toy Story on the DVD player.

On the tram to the main entrance, Jacob already excited.

Shortly thereafter he discovered the joy of waiting in line for a ride.

Being that it was Jacob's first trip to Disneyland and Rebekah had never been on It's a Small World, both kids were excited to get on the ride. Jacob was in awe of all the colors and songs. Rebekah on the other hand thought the ride was disturbing, with all the freaky dolls smiling at you.

Believe it or not Jacob is getting ready for his nap here. About 2-minutes after this picture he was out like a light, and he slept for almost an hour.

Once he woke up he got his second wind and was ready to go.

And go.......Thank god he has a sister to keep help us out when we get tired.

She even did some heavy lifting.

The one thing that Jacob wanted at Disneyland was to see Woody. He missed Woody, but he did get a Woody doll and was very happy about that.

Mommy and Jacob being silly while waiting for Daddy and Rebekah to get off a ride.

We had dinner in downtown Disney. Jacob was in an exceptionally good mood for being up most of the day and being surrounded by people all day.

Jacob still smiling......taking the tram back to the parking garage. Trying to stay warm.

The two kids had a great time.

Hanukkah Night 5

Hanukkah and Christmas today. The kids enjoyed Hanukkah and going to grandma's house for Christmas.

Rebekah absolutely loved the I Love Lucy clock that G & G Ward sent her.

Even Jacob liked to watch the clock.

Jacob loved the Tonka Truck mat and loves to pick up trash with his trucks. Who knew a mat would bring such joy to a little boy.

And the highlight of the day was Hugh singing with the Karaoke "Beer for My Horse" That memory will give us all hours of joy.
