About Us

Welcome....This is the story of our family. As the parents of a 3-year old and an 12-year old we are on a non-stop journey through life that includes diapers, teething, soccer, and middle school. Believe it or not, the latter seems to be the most difficult.

Hanukkah Night 7

We decided to spend Saturday at Disneyland with the family. This was Jacob's first trip so he was in awe! He absolutely loved the castle.

We began our 1 1/2 hour drive and too keep Jacob in good spirits he watched Toy Story on the DVD player.

On the tram to the main entrance, Jacob already excited.

Shortly thereafter he discovered the joy of waiting in line for a ride.

Being that it was Jacob's first trip to Disneyland and Rebekah had never been on It's a Small World, both kids were excited to get on the ride. Jacob was in awe of all the colors and songs. Rebekah on the other hand thought the ride was disturbing, with all the freaky dolls smiling at you.

Believe it or not Jacob is getting ready for his nap here. About 2-minutes after this picture he was out like a light, and he slept for almost an hour.

Once he woke up he got his second wind and was ready to go.

And go.......Thank god he has a sister to keep help us out when we get tired.

She even did some heavy lifting.

The one thing that Jacob wanted at Disneyland was to see Woody. He missed Woody, but he did get a Woody doll and was very happy about that.

Mommy and Jacob being silly while waiting for Daddy and Rebekah to get off a ride.

We had dinner in downtown Disney. Jacob was in an exceptionally good mood for being up most of the day and being surrounded by people all day.

Jacob still smiling......taking the tram back to the parking garage. Trying to stay warm.

The two kids had a great time.

Hanukkah Night 5

Hanukkah and Christmas today. The kids enjoyed Hanukkah and going to grandma's house for Christmas.

Rebekah absolutely loved the I Love Lucy clock that G & G Ward sent her.

Even Jacob liked to watch the clock.

Jacob loved the Tonka Truck mat and loves to pick up trash with his trucks. Who knew a mat would bring such joy to a little boy.

And the highlight of the day was Hugh singing with the Karaoke "Beer for My Horse" That memory will give us all hours of joy.

Hanukkah Night 4

Hanukkah Night 4, Jacob hamming it up for the camera, but being very careful with his candle.

Lotions and bath gels from G & G Ward.

Jacob getting a shot from daddy with his new doctor kit.

Hanukkah Night 3

Hanukkah Night 3 and Jacob is really beginning to enjoy this. He has the first 4 or 5 words of the prayers down and loves listening to his sister recite them.

More Guitar Hero!

Jacob absolutely loved the tool set that G & G Ward sent to him. He has been "sawing" off Rebekah's feet because she apparently needs new ones.

Rebekah loved the music books that Jacob gave her, now we can listen to a variety of music during practice hour.

Hanukkah Night 2

Night 2 was spent at home. Rebekah and Jacob lit the candles and recited the prayers. Jacob is getting better each day.

On this night Rebekah got the present of all presents, Guitar Hero. Thanks to grandma and grandpa Ward, Rebekah now is queen of the guitar. What started as a quiet evening was quickly changed as we listed to Pat Benatar for about 2-hours.

Jacob meanwhile sat and played with his dinosaurs from g & g Ward. He loved them and lined them all up so that they could take their turn eating the trees.

Here is the position that we saw Rebekah in for the rest of the night.

Now the next day Jacob couldn't let Rebekah have all the fun so he got out his guitar and played right along with her.

Hanukkah Night 1

Hanukkah started off with a family dinner and lots of family fun. Jacob is starting to understand the purpose of Hanukkah and he even tries to say the prayers.

Jacob and Rebekah lighting the candles in their menorahs.

All the aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents were very generous this year (as usual!). See his cash register, snake, animals, paints, and cars. He didn't know what to do first. Rebekah was very excited to get all the gift cards and of course absolutely loves the Penn State Sweatshirt from Hugh, Juanita & Scooter.

It is usually pretty hard to surprise me with presents, as I do all the shopping. But David did get me this year. I have always wanted a Steve Largent Seattle Jersey and now my life is complete! (Ok not really. But you get the point).

Jacob is showing us how scary he can be with his snake. I couldn't tell him that he looked too cute to be scary.

Finally on the first night Jacob and Rebekah opened the fleece blankets that I made for them. Rebekah musical notes and Jacob baseballs of course.

Congrats Max!

If you did not have the pleasure to attend Max's Bar Mitzvah yesterday, you certainly missed an event! Max did such a great job during the services and his party was an event to be seen at. I've only got a few shots to share you'll have to ask Grandma for the entire collection. But I do have some of Jacob that are to irresistible.

Jacob having fun at the party, eating as usual.

MMMMMMMM..........This cake is GOOOOOD!

Okay now I have to work off all those calories!

Boogie Down Jacob!

Still going, just like the energizer bunny! Apparently when Rebekah takes pictures I have no head :)

We had a great time Max.
