About Us

Welcome....This is the story of our family. As the parents of a 3-year old and an 12-year old we are on a non-stop journey through life that includes diapers, teething, soccer, and middle school. Believe it or not, the latter seems to be the most difficult.

DISNEYLAND In NOVEMBER

Rebekah and her band had the distinct honor to play on Main Street USA in Disneyland. Her wonderful band was selected out of thousands of bands and they certainly rose to the challenge! Please listen and enjoy a little Christmas Music! Here is their version of Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer.

All Better!

Thank you to all the well wishers.....Jacob is feeling much better. What started out as a sore throat, Jacob explained it as an owie in my neck, turned into one of the worst colds that we all have experienced this year (quick someone knock on wood!). In the last 48 hours I have seen the return of my wonderful, polite, playful, silly little boy. We were able to get out to see grandma and grandpa yesterday and today we ventured to the pet store to see the puppies. Best of all none of the rest of us (again knock on wood) seem to be showing any signs of any illness.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Well Thanksgiving is here and here is a description of how we spent the holiday. There had been plans of shopping, visiting family, visiting the zoo and enjoying the time we have off together. However, Jacob's immune system had other plans. For the last 5 days he has been fighting off the flu. He's had the fever, aches and pains, and of course the congestion. So here is how we spent our holiday. Happy Thanksgiving to all! - Kim, David, Rebekah & Jacob

Throughout the last few days I feel as if I had sudden 30-lb growth. I spent about 95% of my time the last week sitting in my chair in this position. And when I wasn't sitting and holding Jacob I had Jacob attached to my leg as I tried to move around the house.

Wow! I didn't think that you could actually tell how tired I was in these pictures, but that is the look of a mother with a sick 2-year old. I think that as of today, David and myself are working on an average of 3 to 4 hours of sleep each night since Sunday. Most of the night I spend pacing with Jacob in my arms because as long as he is upright he can breathe. Poor little guy :(

Even Rebekah didn't escape the never ending demands of a sick toddler. She tried to escape to the bathroom but Jacob really wanted to play with the play-doh with her.

Those times that I was not at the mercy of Jacob, David took over to read stories so that, unlike Rebekah, I could go to the bathroom without a friendly visitor. By the way, Aunt Amanda Jacob just loves his Thomas books.

Overall it's been a tough week, but as with everything we will get through it. We are thankful for the fact that even though things don't always go as planned we have our children with us, we have the support of our family and there is nothing more important to us than family. Love and good blessings to all our friends and family. - Kim

Whose Birthday was It?

Just another example of the toys that are meant for 2-year olds can entertain children of all ages. Rebekah is enjoying the tinker toys along with Jacob, and as soon as Juanita sends me the incriminating pictures, you can see just how much Hugh and Mike enjoyed the toys.

GO HAWKS!!!!!

So if you notice the color layout, you may understand just how obsessed we are (and by we I mean me) with the Seattle Seahawks and after last nights win I thought what better way to show my support than blatantly flash it across the Internet!

I think that I have forever lost Rebekah to the Chargers, so I'm starting young this time with Jacob, now all I need is some Seahawk gear so that he and I can support our team properly. Of course his favorite new phrases are "GO SEAHAWKS" & my favorite "What happened to the Chargers?"

Happy Birthday Jacob!

So at times it was painful and there were plenty of tears but we made it through the 2nd birthday, party and all. And here is something that I have learned about my beautiful son, apparently he associates family gatherings with the need to suddenly come down with some sort of ailment. Today it was a head cold, sneezing, runny nose and of course the irritability. I must say though for a little boy who was on Benadryl he performed magnificently until his body finally pooped put on him. This of course came at present/cake time. Until that point he had the time of his life since he was the star of the show.

Let's start with the cake. Jacob is a HUGE Blues Clues fan so I just could not pass up the opportunity to give him a paw print cake.
Then there were the presents:

See here is the proof that he did enjoy himself:

He enjoyed the magnetic blocks that Aunt Juanita and Uncle Hugh gave him:

The car that cousin Mike and Dava gave him:

And he absolutely loved the Thinking Chair that Grandpa and Sheila gave him:

And finally doesn't he look absolutely adorable in the PJ's that Grandma & Grandpa Ward sent him:

And not to forget one the most important things that happened today.......Rebekah's team tied their final soccer game 0-0, so they hold onto the 1st place spot! YEAH!

THE BEST GOALIE EVER!!!!!!!

I'M 2!!!!!

YEAH! Today is the Day! I AM 2! Wow, how can the time have gone by this fast. It was two years ago today that we brought Jacob into the world and boy have we been on an adventure ever since. Unlike his sister it took Jacob a lot longer to get the idea that sleeping all night is a GOOD thing, and that just because we say no does not mean his world will end and come crushing down around him. He spends his days playing with his friends at daycare and his evenings hanging out with his sister. Most weekends are devoted to soccer and he has become one of the biggest cheerleaders for Rebekah's Matrix team (who is currently in 1st place! WOO HOO!). Tomorrow will be the celebration with all of our family so check back to see the fun we had!

Rebekah thought she could avoid me and the camera, but as she was engrossed in her homework I got her dressed as a cat. Of course these ears were initially meant for Jacob, but Jacob thought they looked better on Rebekah!

Even Jacob is getting into the SUDOKU craze!

HALLOWEEN 2007

Halloween was great! It was one of the easiest Halloween's we've had. Rebekah had fun running around the neighborhood with her friends dressed as a gothic vampiress (so she completely avoided the camera, sorry). Jacob enjoyed dressing up and handing out candy to all the Trick-or-Treaters we got.

Jacob found a mask, and was running around scaring all of us.

He even found time to color his pumpkin.

Even mom got into the act! Dad avoided the camera while he was wearing his clown wig!
